Application
rate,
Mixing of small amount of
farm yard manure (5 t/ha) with P and K fertilizer at the time of planting and its
application in furrows economizes up to 25 % on P and K doses. Another way
is to soak seed tubers in 0.2 % P solution of monoammonium phosphate containing
0.2 per cent mancozeb for 4 hours or in a solution of 1.5% of single super
phosphate and 0.5 % urea and drying them in shade before planting This technique
results in saving about 22-25 Kg of
P/ha.
