Sucking pests

1). Use of healthy or virus free seed material from a reliable source

Imidacloprid (Confidor 17.8 SL) @ 2gm/5 lit water concentration (against aphids, white flies and thrips).

Acetamiprid (Pride 20% SLR) @ 250g/ha or 2gm/5 lit of water (aphids, whiteflies)

 

4). Spray of cattle urine (1ltr) + neem mixture (CUNM), with water in 1 (CUNM): 9 (water) ratio.

Defoliators

1). Deep ploughing during summer.

PTM

 

 

1). Clean the store before tuber storage

2). Treat tubers with Bt @ 0.05% or GV (1kg talc + 20 GV infected PTM larvae + 2ml sticker + 1 lit water mixed and dried) then apply @ 500 gm/bag

Nematodes
