Nature of damage and symptoms:
Larvae cause the damage by biting round holes into the leaves.
Identification:
Moths lay greenish-white eggs on the upper surface of leaves.
Larvae: plump and pale green with four thin, white lines along the back and a wide, pale line on each side of the body and have three pairs of prologs.
The larvae move in a measuring or looping motion, thus the insect’s name. When disturbed, loopers rear upwards.
