Library Mandate
Helping scientists by providing Library and Information Services and support through collecting, processing, storing, retrieving, preserving and maintaining all types of published and unpublished information on potato and other subjects of interests for realizing CPRI mandates viz.
- To function as Scientific Information and Documentation Centre on Potato
- To establish information resource base to act as a depository and clearing house of potato research information
- To supply the documents/information on demand to its scientists and other users
- To store, retrieve and disseminate research information using various media of information systems/communication
- To strengthen and develop the Library and information facilities at the regional stations of CPRI
- To establish cooperation, coordination and exchange of information with national and international research organizations and information centres
