Sorting and Grading
Grading is a critical operation in potato, which is required for easy marketing and to get a good price for the produce. Normally for house hold consumption, medium sized tubers are preferred. In the case of the seed crop, small to medium sized tubers are preferred while in the case of processing large sized tubers are generally preferred. Grading is done both by hand as well as graders. Various types of graders of various capacities are available in the market.
